A Braunton Countryside Centre Event
2nd Jan 10:30am
On Friday 2nd January, Mary Breeds, our resident ecologist, will lead a New Year plant walk as part of the Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland’s (BSBI) yearly citizen science plant hunt.
Come along to learn about different plant species found in the winter season and how to identify them. The results recorded will then be inputted into a wider data collection to help inform the BSBI about the wildflowers and other plants still thriving in winter.
Please meet outside the Braunton Countryside Centre at 10.30am with sensible walking shoes and warm clothes to help us with some citizen science and species recording around Braunton village.
No booking required, just turn up on the day! Donations welcome.
Alternatively, if you wanted to take part in your own New Years plant hunt you can head over to the BSBI website for more information on how to get started: https://bsbi.org/new-year-plant-hunt
