As you look out to sea, Newberry Beach is an unobtrusive cove situated on the left of Combe Martin’s main beach. A small ‘headland’ protrudes between the two beaches on which the Victorian’s constructed a seaside promenade. Pending rennovation work, part of this promenade area is currently inaccessible, but a route still provides on-foot access to Newberry beach. The Newberry area is also the site of Combe Martin’s 19th century ship building industry.
