Join April Windle, from the British Lichen Society for a walk through Brownsham Woods, to study the exceptional array of lichens that make these coastal woodlands so special.
We will be exploring the ecology of these fascinating organisms, looking at species ID and surveying as well as how we may be able to lend a helping hand through translocation.
Hand lenses and binoculars are really useful tools for looking at lichens. If you have your own please bring them along but we will have some available to borrow on the day.
April Windle is a naturalist with a particular interest in lichens, especially those occupying our rainforest habitats along the western seaboard of the British Isles.
