Combe Martin Museum

Combe Martin Museum is a must-see when visiting this area. With modern, interactive displays, Combe Martin’s wealth of history and its coastal environment offers interest for all ages.

Cross Street, Combe Martin, EX34 0DH

Here you can learn about the rich history of the local Silver Mines, as well as Combe Martin’s historic strawberry fields which covered the south facing slopes of the valley. Also, you can learn more on its Fishing Heritage; days when the main way into the village was by sea, and local produce was carried on foot to market at Ilfracombe, twice daily.

This location is adjacent to a main public car park and the beach. It is also a good central location from which to begin several outstanding local walks.
