A family-friendly walk meeting at Heanton Court car park, will be led by avid birder and wildlife enthusiast Andy Leat so that you may learn to know the birds of Braunton.
This week we will be meeting at the Heanton Court car park and heading along the Tarka Trail looking out over the estuary where there are a lot of wading birds at this time of year. There will also be the chance to grab a refreshment together afterwards with the group at Heanton Court to warm up. (Refreshments not included).
HEANTON COURT – BRAUNTON ROAD, BARNSTAPLE, EX31 4AX
The Tarka Trail is an easy and flat tarmac path to walk along, with a short sloped path leading down from the Heanton Court car park to the trail. Please wear sensible warm and waterproof clothing and footwear, parts of this section of the Tarka Trail can be quite exposed to the elements.
This walk is suitable for all ages from 6yrs upwards and all those interested in learning more about the local bird life. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
There will be a chance to use a telescope or binoculars to get a closer look at our feathered residents. Some binoculars will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
