Join the Braunton Countryside Centre on their monthly family friendly walk to get to know the birds of Braunton.
Booking preferred – or £3 cash on the day.
A family-friendly walk along Crow Point banks will be led by avid birder and wildlife enthusiast Andy Leat so that you may learn to know the birds of Braunton.
We’ll meet at Crow Point White House and walk along the crow point banks towards the DWT nature reserve of Horsey Island.
We’ll keep an eye out for any birds or other wildlife that is around at this time of year, there are warblers and other migratory birds about that have come to visit the coastline of North Devon.
Crow point bank is relatively flat with some up and down hill to access and some stone styles that can be avoided by walking down to the road and back.
Because of this, it is suited for able adults and children at least 6 years old and older.
There will be a chance to use a telescope or binoculars to get a closer look at our feathered residents.
Please wear sturdy walking shoes or trainers, dress appropriately for the weather with warm clothes and waterproofs. Some binoculars will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
Meeting place – Broadsands car park, Crow Point (what3words: ///stunts.highly.direct)
Remember £2.50 for the toll road leading to crow point if traveling by car.
