Illsutrated talk with Dave Edgcombe of the North Devon Coast AONB

From Marsland Mouth on the Cornish border to Combe Martin on the boundary of Exmoor National Park, more than 170 square kilometres of North Devon’s coast have been nationally protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for almost 60 years. The Beaford Archive contains photographs of this area dating back more than a hundred years. Now AONB Project Officer and coastline expert Dave Edgcombe has visited key coastal sites and rephotographed Archive images, showing how much has changed as North Devon has developed over the past century.
Dave’s illustrated talk, featuring Archive images alongside his present-day images, was first delivered as part of the ‘Character of our Coast’ exhibition in Combe Martin and Lynmouth. Audience response was so strong that Dave has now agreed to deliver the talks inland!
