A Braunton Countryside Centre Event
You are invited to escape your daily demands and join us for a FREE Creative Play workshop, walking out into nature for our inspiration. Come and take the opportunity to press pause in a beautiful space, to notice what is around you and then, through some playful guided exercises, capture what you have seen in words and/or marks, producing something that is uniquely yours. No creative experience or skill is required.
These workshops are being offered by the South West Coast Path Association along with writer, artist and creative facilitator Emma Scattergood (The Creative Path). Emma is a writer, artist and former senior lecturer in design, editing and publishing at Bournemouth University. She designed and launched Fresher Publishing; The Bournemouth Writing Prize, and BU’s MA Creative Writing & Publishing. She is also trained in art for wellbeing and as a yoga teacher
The workshops will combine walking and pausing in nature with a range of creative activities. Workshop 1 in Braunton will be a local walk combined with activities en route, before gathering to share our creations at the Countryside Centre. Workshop 2 starting at Bucks Mill car park will combine creative activities with a two and a half mile walk on the South West Coast Path to Peppercombe Bothy. This walk is a ‘moderately demanding’ walk.
