Hele Corn Mill

In years past, self-sufficiency wasn’t just an optional way of life; it was essential. The Corn Mill in Hele dates from 1525, comprising of an 18ft overshot water wheel that was supplied by three streams and a series of mill ponds. The Mill worked up until the Second World War, when it fell into a derelict state. Hele Mill was restored in 1973 and today it is a small tourist attraction complete with a small working mill and a tea rooms.           ActivitiesA footpath from Hele Bay runs past the Flour Mill and leads to Chambercombe Manor.
